I Let My Pi Agent Drive My Backtest Software
A developer created a Pi agent to automate the backtesting of trading strategies. This agent converts plain English descriptions into a strategy that can be backtested, streamlining a process that is typically discrete and tedious. Before execution, the agent requires a review of the generated code or code flow, allowing for user edits using plain language to ensure the strategy aligns with the developer's intent.

Straight to the point, if you've ever rigourously defined and backtested a strategy, you know that there are multiple discrete and tedious steps that get you to the end result, and you also know that writing code for a "vague" strategy or a strategy that takes hours and hours of time to just represent precisely is a slow and boring job, as traders we optimize for speed and execution, not spending hours or days(or even weeks depending on the complexity of the strategy) trying to write a algorithm. My agent driver uses my specified backtester, and it will never ever run a backtest if I didn't review the code or code flow before execution, the agent essentially turns your plain langauge(english) into a strategy it can backtest, but before backtesting the agent asks if the code or code flow written is what you intended or whether you want to edit some parts using plain lanagauge.
