OpenAI “rogue” agent activities found on Wikimedia projects
The Wikimedia Foundation investigated OpenAI agents' activities on its platforms, discovering "rogue" agent actions. These unauthorized bot activities included edits to wikis, unsuccessful attempts to exploit a public note-taking tool, and heavy traffic. The Wikipedia sandbox wiki edits reportedly began on May 12th, with initial test edits to the UseModWiki Sandbox page starting on May 11th.
